Role Summary:
The Field Service Manager will be responsible for the overall direction of the Service Organization for the Reciprocating Compression business of Cooper Machinery Services. With an extensive Field Service and shop network, this position will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to grow the aftermarket business while driving synergies and process improvements.
Responsibilities:
In the role of Field Service Manager, you will be:
  • Leading the financial performance and overall growth of all parts, repair and field service activities
  • Overseeing the Field Service, Service shop, and parts network
  • Supporting and partnering with the Regional teams to meet service goals and leading the services growth strategy for Reciprocating Compression
  • Working closely with the Region Sales Managers to ensure appropriate sales coverage and opportunities to achieve the services orders plan
  • Responsible for the overall management duties of the Service Managers and Field Service Engineers (FSEs)
  • Providing accurate and timely information to assigned personnel regarding salary planning, performance appraisals, career coaching and disciplinary action as required
  • Leading Regional efforts to ensure Customer Service excellence, implementing Operation Safety Policy instructions and conducting fieldwork in compliance with all applicable regulations and employee safety practices
  • Ensuring operational excellence in the areas of integrity, controllership and compliance
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or 10 years of equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Reciprocating Compression
  • Proficient in SAP
  • Proficient in Microsoft office 365 Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point
  • Strong business acumen and commercial savvy
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Prior P&L, Field Services or Sales / Commercial experience
  • Ability to interface and influence all levels of the customers organization as well as other functions
  • Strong operating background
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Safety focused, Service-oriented, Business focused, A self-starter, Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
  • To the extent that you are applying for a position that requires you to operate a Cooper Machinery Services owned / leased or rented vehicle for company business, you must be willing to submit to a check of your driving record
  • Possess or obtain a valid driver's license. Travel will be required. Estimated 25% with some overnight stays.
