Job description

Seeking a full time Certified Medical Assistant Technician to work in busy orthopedic office. Duties include:

-Patient intake

-Record physical and medication history, including height, weight and blood pressure.

-Prepare patient for Physician.

-Assist in office procedures.

-Assist in procedures/surgery.

-Arrange equipment.

-Help doctor and first assist during surgies.

-Assist in scheduling surgical procedures and attaining pre-op clearances or concept.

-Answer and return phone calls to patients, hospitals or other medical offices.

-Explains procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation, understanding, and allay apprehension.

-Prepares equipment and aids Physician during treatment and examination of patient.

-Assist with ordering supplies

-Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies Physician of patient’s condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.

-Clean exam rooms and re-stock supplies.

-Monitors and logs all diagnostic tests and procedures ordered by Physician

-Assist with Surgical responsibilities-

-Secures and prepares all supplies required for surgical intervention.

-Follows all HIPPA regulations in order to protect patient confidentiality.

CSFA require within first year of employment.
