Supply Planning Manager

Salary - Exempt First/Mid-level Mgrs Foothill Ranch, CA, US

Salary Range: $100,000.00 To $130,000.00 Annually

We are looking for a full-time, experienced and self-motivated Supply Planning Manager to join our Supply Chain Team to develop and execute supply plans that ensure product availability while optimizing inventory, service levels, and operational costs. This role leads the supply planning process across suppliers, manufacturing, distribution, and customer demand requirements to balance supply and demand effectively. The position partners closely with Demand Planning, Sourcing, Operations, Logistics, Sales, and Finance to support company growth and customer service objectives. A data-driven planning professional with strong leadership skills and attention to detailwho can translate customer demand and business objectives creating and guiding the team to createsupply planning scenarios.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Build, coach, and develop a team of supply planners - setting goals, managing performance, and supporting professional growth.
  • Empower the team to initiate/lead continuous improvement projects, fostering a culture of collaboration, and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive improvement of key performance indicators, including customer fill rate, inventory turn, and SKU lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with Demand Planning, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Logistics (Domestic and Asia teams), and Customer Service. As needed, make recommendations for processes improvements based on results.
  • Support strategic initiatives, acquisitions, network optimization, and supply chain transformation projects.
  • Apply advanced supply chain modeling and planning techniques for inventory optimization (safety stock setting, lead-time adjustment, reorder points) while maintaining aggressive inventory turn metrics.
  • Develop, standardize, and deliver supply planning processes across the team and champion continuous improvementsto support customer demand and business objectives.
  • Balance inventory investment, service levels, and supply chain efficiency.
  • Monitor inventory health and implement actions to optimize stock levels, turns, and working capital.
  • Identify and mitigate supply risks, shortages, and excess inventory to provide go-forward recommendations/ plans of action.
  • Manage and report on NPI on time launches
  • Lead the supply planning portion of the SIOP process.
  • Collaborate with Demand Planning to align supply capabilities with forecasted demand.
  • Evaluate capacity constraints and recommend solutions to maintain target service levels.
  • Provide scenario analysis and recommendations for supply and inventory decisions.
  • Partner with Sourcing and global suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and develop contingency plans for supply disruptions.
  • Coordinate with suppliers the supply plan to translate into their production schedules and replenishment plans.
  • Conduct capacity and long-term supply planning with suppliers to ensure the ability to meet future demand.
  • Establish supplier scorecards and monitor performance on capacity reliability, order confirmation accuracy, and on-time delivery.
  • Analyze root causes of service or inventory issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive process improvements through planning tools, automation, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with order management teams to resolve bottlenecks and participate in monthly supplier service meetings.
The successful candidate will have the following

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, Engineering, Finance, or related field, and no less than 5 years of progressive experience in demand planning, supply chain planning, SIOP/S&OP, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) preferred.

MBA preferred but not required.

Prior experience managing planners or analysts.

Experience in manufacturing and/or distribution for consumer goods or industrial products.

Experience working with Asia based manufacturers/vendors.

Experience with ERP and planning systems such asSAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.

Experience with planning solutions such as Stock IQ, JDA/Blue Yonder, ToolsGroup, or equivalent.

Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Power BI or similar analytical tools.

Strong quantitative, analytical capabilities, andproblem-solving skills.

Proven experience working as a successful cross-functional collaborator, with process improvement and the ability to influence others without having direct authority over them.
