Job Description(Manager - Crypto Strategic Initiatives)

As a Manager on the Crypto Strategic Initiatives Team within Growth Products and Partnerships at Visa, you will be responsible for driving execution of key strategic initiatives (or major workstreams within Initiatives) for Visa's crypto efforts. Example responsibilities of the role include:

  • Lead program management across multiple crypto-related workstreams, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timelines
  • Support key executive engagements and syndication of work across leadership, to ensure alignment and clarity of direction
  • Prepare executive-level presentations providing strategic recommendations, initiative status, and risks
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across product, legal, compliance, finance, and operations to deliver against key initiatives
  • Drive key decisions forward by preparing clear decision frameworks, identifying trade-offs, and ensuring stakeholder alignment
  • Monitor and track progress of workstreams, proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and blockers; proactively implementing mitigation plans
  • Manage stakeholder communications, providing regular updates and ensuring transparency across teams.
  • Support scenario planning and risk assessments for crypto-related projects and regulatory changes
  • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in managing complex regulatory and product development programs

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic:
  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred:
  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
    University Recruiting: MBA/ PhD without experience
  • 5-8+ years of experience in operations or program management, preferably in fintech, blockchain, payments, or financial services
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-workstream programs across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities, including the capability to navigate ambiguity and drive alignment
  • Track record of stakeholder management across technical, legal, compliance, and operational functions
  • Strong understanding of crypto ecosystems and broader digital asset market dynamics
  • Experience working with legal and regulatory teams, particularly on financial regulations, digital assets, or compliance matters
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience preparing materials for executive leadership
  • Experience with governance processes, including steering committees, executive reviews, and regulatory reporting
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce operational risk
  • Passion for innovation in financial technology and an interest in shaping the future of digital currency
  • Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior managers and external business partners
  • Self-starter, team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities

The estimated salary range for this positionis $146,200.00 to $ 233,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
