The Impact You Will Have

As Head of Policy and Regulatory Affairs – US, you will lead Elliptic’s public policy and regulatory engagement strategy across the United States, the most consequential jurisdiction shaping the future of digital assets.

Based in Washington D.C. or New York, you will be Elliptic’s most senior voice on policy issues across the Americas, guiding our approach to engaging with federal and state regulators, policymakers, Congressional offices, and international standard setters.

You will help shape regulatory outcomes across the evolving US landscape, including the Clarity Act, stablecoin frameworks, FinCEN guidance, SEC and CFTC jurisdiction, and state-level licensing regimes, while ensuring our strategy aligns with the rapidly evolving landscape of crypto regulation, financial crime prevention, and digital innovation.

You will join a global, cross-functional team of regulatory specialists and subject matter experts, working at the forefront of engagement with governments, regulators, financial institutions, and crypto native businesses.

In this commercially oriented role, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to existing and prospective clients, helping them navigate regulatory complexity, adopt Elliptic’s solutions with confidence, and meet their compliance objectives.

Your policy insights will influence go-to-market strategies, support business development, and directly drive customer success, product-market fit, and revenue growth across the Americas.

Your leadership will be instrumental in establishing Elliptic as the most trusted advisor for regulated institutions and public agencies seeking to understand and mitigate risks in the digital asset economy.

  • Lead Elliptic’s strategic engagement with federal and state regulators, Congressional offices, and public sector stakeholders across the United States

What You Will Do

  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert on US policy, regulation, and government affairs related to digital assets and blockchain technology

  • Provide strategic advisory services to internal teams and external clients on regulatory compliance and government engagement

  • Develop thought leadership through authoritative content creation, including policy analysis, regulatory updates, Congressional testimony preparation, and industry trend reports

  • Work with our Strategic Advisory team to build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders across federal agencies (FinCEN, SEC, CFTC, OCC, OFAC), Congressional committees, state regulators, and industry associations

  • Represent Elliptic at industry conferences, regulatory forums, Congressional briefings, and executive meetings with senior government and financial services leaders

  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to provide expert guidance on regulatory requirements and institutional client needs

  • Advise on regulatory developments and market trends affecting digital asset policy and institutional adoption strategies

  • Support business development and enterprise sales processes with deep policy expertise and government relationship leverage

  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that accelerate responsible adoption of digital asset solutions within government and traditional finance

  • Build and maintain your professional profile through speaking engagements, media commentary, social media presence, and industry networking

You Will Be a Great Fit Here If You

  • 10+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, public policy, government relations, or compliance, with a focus on financial services, digital assets, or public sector engagement

  • Deep understanding of the US digital asset regulatory landscape, including federal frameworks (SEC, CFTC, FinCEN, OCC, OFAC) and key state-level regimes (e.g., NY BitLicense, state MTL frameworks)

  • Experience working within or alongside federal agencies, Congressional offices, regulatory bodies, or intergovernmental institutions

  • Strong existing public-sector network across US financial authorities, Congressional staff, and policy communities

  • Exceptional communication skills, with experience crafting policy positions, briefings, and public commentary on complex legal and regulatory topics

  • Comfort working at the intersection of technology, law, and finance, including the regulatory applications of blockchain analytics and crypto asset compliance

  • Proven record of influencing regulatory outcomes through advocacy and collaborative engagement with policymakers and institutions

  • Passion for shaping the future of responsible crypto innovation, financial integrity, and regulatory clarity
