Job description

Faith Technologies Inc. (FTI) is searching for a Senior Mechanical Designer for the Product Engineering team located in Menasha, WI. The position involves creating mechanical parts and assemblies for products used within the renewable energy, microgrid, EV charging, crypto mining, and data center markets. The Senior Mechanical Designer will support the Design Engineering team using CAD tools to design and create both piece parts and multi-level assemblies, and will collaborate with other disciplines to validate designs, provide design trade‑offs, and recommend final solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs mechanical designs and calculations with minimal guidance.
  • Assists in the preparation of mechanical designs for power and low voltage products.
  • Interacts with the Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Industrial Engineering staff on a regular basis.
  • Presents technical information during design meetings or reviews.
  • Creates and updates 2D prints and 3D models for piece parts and components.
  • Creates and updates complex 3D layouts of top-level and sub-level assemblies.
  • Helps develop product Bill of Material structures to allow for modularity and configurability of products.
  • Prepares Bills of Materials and prepares Change Notices to release components and assemblies.
  • Supports the creation of technical manuals for operation and maintenance of related products.
  • Self‑checks own work to ensure accuracy to established drawing and design specifications and standards.
  • Provides technical assistance for prototype and pilot builds along with production support as needed.
  • Works with suppliers to integrate various components into higher level system designs.
  • Supports service, aftermarket, and installation teams as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of product design experience.
  • Proficient in 2D/3D CAD design software (Inventor, CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience in sheet metal or heavy fabrication design, casting, machining, moulded components, or fiber‑reinforced plastic components.
  • Experience in Mechanical Design and Drafting.
  • Experience in Bill of Material creation and Change Notice processes.
  • Experience in large 3D assemblies preferred.
Preferred Requirements
  • 8 years of product design experience.
  • Experience in electrical components or equipment.
  • Experience in the design and development of electrical components.

Travel: 10–25%. Work schedule: 7AM to 5PM, Monday‑Friday. Works a sufficient schedule to meet the expectations of the role.

Work location: Onsite from the Menasha, WI office. Menasha offers a high quality of life with a low cost of living, short commute times, and a strong sense of community.
