This position will support Air Force cryptographic modernization efforts by helping identify capability gaps, assess vulnerabilities in COMSEC and cryptographic systems, and develop recommendations, requirements, and strategic plans for modernized solutions across air, ground, space, cyber, and weapons platforms. The position also supports roadmap development, architecture and requirements documentation, compliance tracking, fielding strategies, and leadership briefings related to enterprise cryptographic modernization
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
  • Participate in meetings, progress reviews, integrated teams, working groups, etc.
  • Draft, edit, and review a variety of correspondence and documentation, primarily using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Provide information management, records management, scheduling functions, and meeting/conference support.
  • Prepare briefing/training materials and present briefings/trainings.
  • Liaise and coordinate with personnel at all levels inside and outside the organization.
  • Provide awareness of new/evolving requirements and recommendations for integration.
  • Provide support for planning, programming, tracking, and financial execution.
  • Prepare information papers, point papers, background papers, and staff studies.

Task-Specific Responsibilities
  • Perform investigative analysis of current CM practices and provide recommendations to improve, streamline, and manage CM and sustainment efforts. Draft point papers, roadmaps, and presentations for HAF A6 use, aligned with senior leader and warfighter requirements.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations on crypto implementation issues, as requested by the HAF A6 liaison. Examples may include platform integration issues, impacts of decertification and replacement notices, fielding schedule impacts, background papers, briefing development support, and engagement with crypto stakeholders.
  • Assist the SF S6 liaison with Crypto Modernization by conducting studies, analyzing data, and providing recommendations. Draft supporting documents such as point papers and presentations aligned with SCP objectives and senior leader guidance.
  • Assist the HAF A6 representative with assessments of existing and emerging radio and crypto devices against communication standards to ensure compliance, and develop Sensitive but Unclassified guidance to reduce reliance on NSA High Assurance radio/cryptographic devices.

Requirements
  • Active TS clearance with SCI/SAP eligibility.
  • Minimum of 2 years of advanced staff experience planning, organizing, and negotiating effectively with cross-functional teams using TMT or other staff coordination standards, document reviews, program updates, and background papers to drive adoption of critical recommendations.
