Job description

Stronghold's mission is to provide fast, secure, and accessible financial services for all. Through our developer APIs, we enable pay-by-bank embedded payments and financial services while pushing the boundaries of financial innovation. Our SHx token is a key component of our ecosystem, supporting merchant rewards, DeFi-based financing, and governance.
We're a fast-moving, data-driven team committed to compliance, scalability, and innovation. We value curiosity, autonomy, and creative problem solving and we're looking for someone excited to bring a marketing edge.
About the Role
As the Community Manager for SHx, you will serve as the primary face and voice of our token community, focused on building meaningful relationships, developing long-term engagement strategies, and representing SHx at events and conferences. You will own the entire community function - from planning activations to facilitating user feedback loops - with the goal of strengthening the SHx ecosystem across Discord, Twitter/X, and Telegram.
This role reports to the CEO and collaborates closely with our Marketing Associate, Content Producer, and Product Marketing teammates.
What You'll Do
  • Own and lead SHx's community strategy, growth, and engagement across key platforms.
  • Respond to community inquiries and feedback with empathy and accuracy.
  • Represent SHx at industry meetups, events, and conferences.
  • Design and host virtual events like AMAs, webinars, and token updates.
  • Work closely with marketing and product to surface community insights.
  • Create updates and high-signal messaging tailored to SHx token holders and advocates.
  • Track engagement, sentiment, and report on community health to leadership.
  • Provide regular reports to leadership on community growth, engagement, and sentiment

What We're Looking For
  • 7+ years of experience in community management or a similar role, preferably in blockchain, fintech, or tech startups.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms, community management tools, and analytics software.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple projects.
  • Must be proficient in prompting AI tools like ChatGPT and/or Claude
  • Familiarity with cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and SHx is a strong plus. A deep understanding of online communities and the ability to navigate the complexities of community dynamics.
  • Passion for building inclusive, engaged, and vibrant communities. A proactive, problem-solving approach with an ability to adapt to fast-changing environments. Must have the ability to remain professional and enthusiastic in the face of potential confrontation.
