About this Role

Crux Subsurface, a subsidiary of Quanta Services, Inc. (NYSE: PWR), is a geotechnical drilling company merging innovation with experience to consistently provide accurate data and efficient, constructible solutions to projects of any size.

Our multidisciplinary team combines the expertise of structural and geotechnical engineers with experienced drillers, construction managers, geologists, and quality management specialists.

The Field Safety Professional at Crux Subsurface is responsible for supporting, educating and engaging within Field activities to support safe and production accomplishment of project related objectives. This is a travelling position, exploring the country while supporting crews performing critical infrastructure work. 

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00/hr DOE + overtimeTypical hours: 50-60 hrs/week (OT after 40 at time and a half)Schedule: 3 weeks on / 1 week offTravel support: Per diem + travel expenses + lodging provided

What You'll Do

You'll be embedded with project crews from day one - trusted, empowered, and making an impact on every shift.

  • Be the go-to safety partner for project leadership and crews on every job site
  • Deliver safety training and orientations for incoming crew members
  • Develop and execute project-specific health and safety plans
  • Conduct site audits and lead incident investigations
  • Exercise Stop Work Authority when it counts
  • Keep crews equipped, compliant, and moving forward in the field
What You'll Bring
  • 3+ years in heavy civil, foundation, geotechnical, or industrial construction
  • OSHA 30-Hour (preferred)
  • First Aid / CPR / AED Trainer - or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Strong field communication skills and confidence training any audience
  • Willingness to travel across the U.S. up to 75% of calendar days
Preferred but not required
  • Rigging Competent Person certification
  • NCCCO Crane Certification
  • Experience working on steep terrain or remote access sites
