The Executive Trainer (US) is a dynamic individual who combines a successful and in depth training background with demonstrated strengths in hospitality, public speaking, relationship building and delivery of an exceptional learning and development product for Forbes Travel Guide. This role requires executing contracted hotel, restaurant, spa, and ocean cruise training to properties around the globe; a considerable working knowledge of Forbes Travel Guide standards and Star Rated properties; acting as a representative and ambassador of Forbes Travel Guide at all times; and enhancing and creating additional resources for the Learning and Development training library. The Executive Trainer will also assist with creating programs for clients, as well as continued enhancement of Learning and Development offerings.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a defined number of training sessions to hospitality and service industry clients around the globe
  • Conduct training to departmental groups within each client property to represent and interpret the Forbes Travel Guide standards for hotel, restaurant, spa and ocean cruise ratings
  • Communicate both internally and externally as necessary for training preparations; work with the client to determine agenda, recommended attendance and overall logistical planning
  • Facilitate training with sensitivity to group dynamics and current star rating level to create a positive and motivating learning environment
  • Do follow up consultation with the client to determine future needs regarding training; provide integral support in retaining and obtaining future business
  • Perform various administrative tasks

Skills Required
  • Currently living and based in U.S., near a major airport
  • Fluent in English additional language desired
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Has extensive background and knowledge of operations within the hospitality industry, specifically in the luxury hotel, restaurant, and spa markets
  • Previous experience in a Four-Star hotel or Five-Star hotel in a leadership position, Director level or above preferred
  • Substantial travel experience at the luxury level
  • Proven success in driving results through training
  • A unique blend of business acumen, technical aptitude and strong organizational skills; effective at multi-tasking and working as both an individual and as a team
  • Proactive, insightful, independent thinker, highly efficient and possesses a refined attention to detail
  • Dependable, follows through on commitments, flexible and can easily adapt to changing priorities on notice
  • Excellent managerial skills and proven record of strong client relationship building
  • Strong and confident presentation style, reacts well under pressure
  • Extremely organized, uses time efficiently, is mature, self-motivated, and manages competing demands
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Domestic and international travel weekly, 15 to 20 days per month (non-negotiable)
