As a Security Officer Cruise Ship Terminal - DoD Clearance Required in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a professional environment through routine patrols and timely reporting. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a waterfront government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities, public access areas, parking areas, waterfront perimeters, and surrounding grounds to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe vehicle, pedestrian, and vessel-related activity as applicable; report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and communication records in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • A Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
