Job Duties

  • Accounting Assignments - Perform a variety of accounting assignments including account analysis, reconciliation, report preparation, and business volume and billing utilized for management decision making. Prepare accurate monthly consolidated invoicing for select customer accounts and daily posting of receipts. Complete month end depreciation process and upload changes to  depreciation system. Compile complex data, analyze, and communicate results including month end financial statements and reports. Assist in preparing budget and year end schedules for  the Company’s accounting department and outside auditors. Prepare State and Local income tax work papers for the Company’s tax department.
  • Process Sales Orders - Process all sales orders for specific assigned areas of the Company. Process lease buyouts, perform manual general ledger transactions to clear book value from inventory, repurchase bank owned assets, update partner site and process warranty paperwork.  
  • Bank Responsibilities / Sales Tax and General Ledger Maintenance - Calculate, prepare, and transfer monthly payments including month end reporting and quarterly repurchase schedules to lending institutions. Prepare and analyze bank documents and equipment listings on new sale leaseback and notes receivable funding. Monitor existing active agreements and the repurchase process or extension at time of agreement maturity. Update Lease Accelerator monthly to match bank information in the Company’s lease software system. Work with banks to resolve discrepancies and ensure monthly bank balances are accurately reconciled. Work to gather, discuss and resolve any audit items with outside auditors for leases. Research and provide sales tax support to customer request of changes in tax status.  
  • Maintain Inventory - Maintain and reconcile inventory. Repurchase assets from banks, quick add and combine asset information in the system. Add asset needs to depreciation system. Reconcile inventory to general ledger monthly and verify information is in sync across lease related software systems. Prepare monthly Inventory Roll workpapers that are needed for yearend audit. Prepare and distribute month end inventory reports. Assist with physical inventory when asked. 
  • Miscellaneous - Assist in special financial and business-related studies and collaborate with other departments in the preparation of analyses. Assist management with special projects and/or customer requests.  Analyze and document new processes and procedures. Perform other duties when assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2-4 years related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (Accounting)
  • Non-degree considered if 12+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
  • Occasional travel (0-5%)
  • Occasional overnight stays (0-5%)

Preferred Qualification

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting, with two or more years prior experience in an accounting department. Good communication skills and problem-solving capabilities. Possess the ability to work in a team environment and multi-task. Good computer skills.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL QUALIFICATIONS

Per 8-hour shift. Sit 8 hours. Stand 0 hours. Typical office environment (Low noise level, limited exposure hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, and vibrations). Regular interaction with other and performs a degree of independent work. Physical and mental demands are akin to the majority of office positions with prolonged periods of sitting and prolonged use of a computer/keyboard. Infrequent lifting, walking, and climbing stairs. Occasional use of office equipment (copies, printers, etc.).
