What is Crossroads Treatment?

Crossroads Treatment is a network of treatment centers specializing in outpatient care for individuals struggling with opioid and other substance use disorders. They offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT), counseling, and support services to help patients achieve and maintain recovery. Crossroads focuses on evidence-based approaches, often using medications like methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone in combination with behavioral therapies. Their programs are designed to be accessible, affordable, and tailored to each individual's needs.

What does a typical day look like for a counselor at Crossroads Treatment, and how do they collaborate with other team members?

A typical day for a counselor at Crossroads Treatment involves conducting individual and group therapy sessions, developing treatment plans, documenting patient progress, and providing crisis intervention when necessary. Counselors often collaborate closely with medical staff, such as nurses and physicians, to coordinate comprehensive care and ensure each patient’s needs are met. Team meetings are held regularly to discuss patient progress and share insights, fostering a supportive and multidisciplinary work environment. This collaborative approach helps counselors deliver effective, individualized treatment while also offering opportunities for professional development and peer learning.

Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and knowledge of medication-assisted treatment protocols are typically required.
