Job description

Are you passionate about solving problems that impact customers around the world? Amazon Global Logistics is looking for a Cross-Border Logistics Specialist to join our Cross-Border Carrier Center (XBCC) in Nashville. In this role, you will investigate and resolve carrier exceptions that could delay international package deliveries to over 200 countries. Your work directly fuels the Amazon flywheel: every case you resolve keeps delivery promises on track, strengthening customer trust and driving repeat purchases across our global marketplace. You will use data analysis, collaboration, and attention to detail to ensure packages move seamlessly through our export network.
Key job responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve carrier cases by researching shipment data in Excel and SQL, ensuring prompt resolution within established service level targets
- Identify recurring defect patterns in case data and escalate findings with supporting analysis to senior team members for root cause action
- Communicate clearly with carriers and internal partners following standard protocols to keep shipments moving and stakeholders informed
- Document case outcomes accurately using standardized templates, maintaining 98%+ quality standards across all entries
- Contribute to team process improvement by sharing observations during daily huddles and flagging opportunities to reduce repeat defects
A day in the life
As a Transportation Specialist, you'll start your day by reviewing carrier cases and prioritizing your workload. You'll dive into data analysis, using your problem-solving skills to identify patterns and propose solutions. Throughout the day, you'll communicate with various stakeholders, both internal and external, to resolve issues and improve processes. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing the global export supply chain and ensuring timely package deliveries worldwide.

The Cross-Border Carrier Center (XBCC) team is at the heart of Amazon's Global Logistics Exports organization. We're passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences across borders. Our focus is on addressing challenges that may delay package deliveries, working collaboratively with multiple partners to streamline processes and drive continuous improvement in our global logistics network.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Work flexible hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends and holidays
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with SQL
- Ability to work 40 hours per week with overtime as required
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Experience in program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or a related field
- Familiarity with international shipping processes or customs documentation
- Attention to detail with interest in data analysis and trend identification
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
