Job description

  1. Job purpose
The job responsibilities center around Rapid's dosimetry contract research organizations (CRO) business. Primary duties involve interacting with Rapid's professionals in medical physics, image analysis, and clients (drug companies and/or CRO) in developing and implementing procedures related to dosimetry in clinical trials of radiopharmaceuticals.
  1. Duties and responsibilities
Primary duties include:
  • Perform dosimetry analysis on patients. This includes supervising secure transfer of images, tomographic reconstruction of images, defining contours, interacting with physicians and customers to verify contours, quantify organ or tumor activities, and perform organ or tumor dosimetry as called for in contracts. It also includes transmitting data to clients, as required by the contracts. This includes developing tasks, best practices, and procedures for repetitive tasks.
  • Interacting with clients and promptly respond inquiries, concerns, and/or requests. Communicating and coordinating with colleagues as necessary.
  • Develop dosimetry and imaging manuals.
  • Write reports for consulting contracts. This includes information about the methods and results, including tables and graphics.
  • Perform quality control of dosimetry calculations and reports written by others. This includes checking calculations, text, figures, etc.
Secondary duties include:
  • Participating in research grants.
  • Publish papers and abstracts on dosimetry methods and results.
  • Participating in the development of algorithms for Rapid's software products.
  1. Qualifications
  • A degree in a relevant field, including medical physics, medical dosimetry, or radiopharmaceutical therapy dosimetry,
  • Knowledge of and experience in quantitative nuclear medicine imaging or radiopharmaceutical therapy dosimetry.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14155, ISO 13485, and 21 CFR Part 820 is a plus.
  • Experience in clinical research and clinical trials is highly desirable.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Experience with Linux, Python, and 3D imaging software packages (such as 3D Slicer) is a plus.
