Position Summary
As a GCS (Gas & Chemical Systems) Control Room Operator at Samsung, you will be a member of a shift operations team focusing on safe and reliable supply of gas and chemicals to a large semiconductor manufacturing facility. You will train on equipment, systems and job duties at Samsung Austin Semiconductor and then transition to our new facility in Taylor, TX.
Role and Responsibilities
Here's What You'll Be Responsible For:
  • Monitor performance of onsite gas and chemical supply systems.
  • Investigate any alarms/warnings, abnormal conditions or adverse trends in monitored parameters.
  • Direct immediate corrective actions and for any safety or quality of supply issues.
  • Perform initial data gathering for any supply interruptions or quality issues to include manufacturing impact, timeline, data analysis and root cause investigation.
  • Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to remain fully aware of all work on GCS equipment.
  • Control access to areas / equipment belonging to GCS Department.
  • Collaborate with equipment engineers and controls team to optimize alarm levels and set points.

Skills and Qualifications
Here's what you'll need:
  • Technical associates or equivalent related training.
  • 2+ years as a control room operator or similar equipment monitoring experience.
  • 4+ years of chemical or gas process experience.

The current base salary range for this role is between $23.50- $46.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
