The Communication Systems Operator is a key feature of Franciscan correspondence. This position has the duty of handling communications to all necessary personnel. Communication Systems Operator knows the purpose, processes, and procedures for all emergency events. The operator possesses a thorough knowledge of all switchboard and telecommunications control room equipment, as well as the ability to problem solve. This position supports the department by demonstrating flexibility in work assignments and supports the facility through teamwork and collaboration.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
  • Page physicians and staff.
  • Maintain appropriate documentations of all telecommunications processes.
  • Provide general hospital and patient information, answering calls in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Put proper emergency plans into action.
  • Attend related meetings and maintain mandated hospital training assignments.
  • Assist in generating and understanding reports with other departments as needed.
  • Answer and dispatch security calls.
  • The Alternating shift includes Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, and Holidays.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma/GED Required
  • 1 year Healthcare Preferred
