Job description

The primary responsibility is to perform general upkeep of the site and provide a clean environment for members.
Essential Functions:
Maintains a clean and safe environment for members.
  • Cleans gym facility & equipment in accordance with the cleaning checklist.
  • Ensures all areas are clean and litter free, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, sweeping, windows, mirrors, cleaning/wipe down of cardio and weight equipment, classroom, functional training/turf area, and bathrooms.
  • Picks up trash in all areas of the gym and dispose in dumpster.
  • Advises site managers/owners of needs to maintain facility: repairs needed, replacement of light bulbs, etc.

Minimum Requirements:
At least 6 month's work experience in a cleaning/janitorial position.
Job Type: Part-Time (8-12 hours/week). Must be available to clean three times (2-3 hrs each time) per week during non-peak hours. Non-peak hours are hours when our gym has less traffic and are usually between 9:00am - 4:00pm or in the evenings after 7:00pm.
Salary: $13.00 to $15.00 /hour
Experience:
  • cleaning: 1 year (Preferred)

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must be able to follow written and oral directions and work independently.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills to relate well with others.
  • Must have a basic understanding of chemicals used in housekeeping.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must have a friendly, positive attitude.
  • Must provide references.

Requirements: All applicants must be able to bend, stoop, reach high and low and work at a constant pace, able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, ability to communicate with supervisor and site managers.
