Job description

This position supports a large, highly secure semiconductor manufacturing campus with strict onboarding, badging, safety, and site-access requirements. The environment is expansive, and the technician may support multiple buildings while working within controlled access, technology, and transportation limitations. Priorities and information can change quickly, so the successful candidate must be adaptable, patient, highly organized, and comfortable asking clear questions, documenting issues, and following through without needing constant direction.

This is a highly independent, customer-facing role that requires someone who arrives with strong technical ability and can effectively speak to and coordinate with customer stakeholders and remote team members. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working as a third-party resource in an environment with limited onsite peer support, high standards for responsiveness and presentation, and specific processes that may differ from typical project environments.

What You Will be doing:

  • Provide technical expertise to support the architecture, installation and planning of audio, video and control solutions
  • Completes documentation with a high degree of quality and follows Technical Services Standards. Services include CAD drawings (flows, plans, elevations, details), system descriptions, equipment research, selection, custom product design and system integration.
  • Research and analyze the capabilities of available hardware and software options
  • Design audiovisual systems of various hardware and software components that work together as one integrated system and that meet customer’s specific needs
  • Support projects and our team throughout the implementation process.

Requirements to Assure Success:

  • 5+ years of Design Engineering experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience in the service and installation of audio, video and presentation systems
  • Knowledgeable of control systems (Crestron, QSC, Extron, AMX) and DSP platforms (Biamp, QSC, Clearone, BSS)
  • Ability to prepare, understand, and interpret advanced single-line diagrams, architectural, construction, and electrical drawings
  • Knowledge of project financial reports, and the ability to control costs in the design and management of projects is essential
  • Ability to read engineering schematics and communicate design intent
  • CTS and CTS-D certifications are a plus, but not required with the right experience. Any other industry related certs or training are also a plus. (Ex: Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Shure etc.)Â
