Client:              Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company

Location:         Waterloo, IA 50701


Duration:         24 Months (Possibility of Extension & Conversion)
Shift:                2nd Shift – 3:30 PM–12:00 AM OR 3rd Shift – 10:30 PM–7:00 AM
 

Description:

Job Summary

Support manufacturing engineering projects and process improvements within the foundry/assembly environment. This role works closely with engineers, supervisors, operators, suppliers, and contractors to improve manufacturing processes, quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute manufacturing engineering projects.
  • Analyze and improve manufacturing processes, systems, equipment, and methods.
  • Develop and test engineering solutions.
  • Support engineering standards, specifications, inspections, and validations.
  • Coordinate activities with suppliers, subcontractors, and contractors.
  • Identify process and system deficiencies and implement improvements.
  • Support product development and engineering activities.
  • Work within established project management plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Spend approximately 75% of the time on the shop floor.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1+ year of foundry/process engineering experience.
  • Manufacturing/process engineering experience.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Desired Skills
