Job description

OVERVIEW
Directs the Commercial Services Group and Treasury Management Associate teams. Drives customer acquisition and retention by providing direct support to Treasury Management Sales Officers, business line partners, and customer support teams, including technical product training and ongoing maintenance and service for commercial clients. Serves as a key contributor to the strategic direction, growth, and long-term viability of business online banking (OLB) and ancillary services. Manages group support staff, service personnel, and Treasury Management Associates, and acts as the primary operational liaison with Finance, IT/Operations, the Commercial Division, and Human Resources.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Manages the Treasury Management Commercial Service Group and Treasury Management Associates to ensure delivery of high level operational and technical service support for all treasury management products and services.
  • Manages the CSG Support Team, assigning work and establishing priorities. Prepares and delivers employee performance evaluations, cross-training, process improvements, department coverage, and knowledge of commercial group and division needs.
  • Maintains strong commercial client relationships and may be the primary support person for large, complex commercial clients.
  • Integrates effective Internal Controls into all applicable work processes. Maintains a working knowledge of Internal Controls with particular attention to Key Controls. Is responsible for ensuring that updates to Internal Controls documentation are performed timely when there are changes in the risk parameters and/or workflow.
  • Develops, maintains, and distributes management reports for CSG monthly production.
  • Ensures that proper audit and compliance procedures for treasury management products and services are followed and performs self-audits on a quarterly basis (ACH, remote deposit capture, WTB On line, wires, etc.).
  • Works with the Product & Services group to ensure pricing is accurate at all times.
  • Responsible for analyzing workloads and workflows to identify and implement standardized best practices across activities and processes. Develops and enhances operations-focused processes and databases to improve productivity and delivery efficiency, while ensuring alignment with divisional and Bank-wide strategic initiatives.
  • Acts as Risk Management Ambassador for the Group (Cash Management and Merchant Services).
  • Assists the Treasury Management Director in the development of a service level agreement with IS/Operations and the periodic performance evaluation relative to that agreement.
  • Coordinates the group's interaction with other key delivery support units including: Commercial, Deposit Support, Loan Service Center, Branch Delivery, etc.
  • Manages and/or coordinates special projects as requested by the Treasury Management Director.
  • Researches and troubleshoots complex issues for the Cash Management Relationship Managers.
  • Develops and creates user manuals and internal procedure manuals as required.
  • Assists in establishing and maintaining appropriate customer facing channel limits.
  • Regular, reliable attendance is required.
  • Perform compliance and risk management duties as required or assigned.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years of professional treasury management experience, letters of credit and project management
  • Proven outstanding customer service orientation.
  • Demonstrates creativity, initiative, diplomatic confidence, a positive attitude, and strong communication skills.
  • Applies a strong process orientation and proven project management expertise to drive initiatives to completion.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision on complex issues, situations, etc., meeting deadlines, and working effectively under stress, maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills and knowledge of bank personnel policies and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of financial product technology (internet banking, ACH, wires, accounting software platforms)
  • High degree of PC based technical skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Suite of products with a particular focus on the use of spreadsheets and databases.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in all levels of the bank, inter-division as well as cross-department.
  • Goal oriented, self-motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Ability to prioritize workflow, solve client or staff problems and manage multiple tasks.

Compensation: $106,458 - $159,728
The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position located in Spokane, WA. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. This position is eligible to participate in an applicable incentive plan.
