Job description

As a Team Leader within PNC's Standby Letters of Credit organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Houston, TX.
*The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The selected candidate will work in the office for two weeks each month and remotely from home for the remaining two weeks.
The ideal successful candidate will have a combination of the following experience:
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience with Standby Letters of Credit, including responsibility for the review and release of transactions.
Experience drafting and structuring routine to complex domestic and international standby transactions, with the ability to identify risks associated with transaction language. The incumbent must be able to work independently with clients, Legal, and internal partners as necessary.
Strong understanding of Risk and Compliance requirements related to Standby Letters of Credit, with the ability to identify red flags, boycott language, and sanctioned parties.
Strong understanding of automatic extension clauses and the associated risks.
Strong knowledge of ISP98 and UCP 600 as they relate to Standby Letters of Credit.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex documentary and transactional language issues.
Understanding of advised and confirmed Letters of Credit, bank guarantees, and counter-standby transactions.
CDCS certification is preferred but not required. Other relevant industry certifications and training are a plus.
Assist in mentoring junior staff members by providing guidance, training, and subject matter expertise.
Understanding of syndicated transactions, including agented and non-agented deals, as well as related fees and commissions.
Experience in document examination with the ability to identify discrepancies in accordance with ISP98 and UCP 600.
Knowledge of SWIFT messaging, including MT760 and MT767 message types.
Ability to interpret credit agreements and identify operational requirements impacting Standby Letter of Credit issuance and administration.This position may be eligible for remote work in select geographic locations, subject to approval by PNC. If approved, work must be conducted from a quiet, secure, and confidential home-based workspace. Occasional in-office participation may be required based on business needs.PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position.Job Description
  • Directs in the research, discovery, collection and interpretation of business requirements, and participates in the development and review of processes and procedures, workflow analytics, and reporting.
  • Provides consultation to clients on business designs, problem solving and business analysis to support project management. Develops and maintains of all applicable policy and procedure documentation.
  • Independently obtains and identifies the business requirements needed to carry out and improve applicable business processes. Provides expertise and problem-solving for clients and technology teams throughout the business analysis process.
  • Translates business needs, processes and/or procedures by partnering with applicable experts and business stakeholders to determine and articulate needs. May communicate with stakeholders and technology teams on moderately complex business requirements, provides gap analysis and facilitates future business process modeling for clients.
