Creator Designer information

What is a creator designer?

Creator Designers are professionals who conceptualize, design, and produce digital or physical content for various platforms and audiences. They often work in fields like social media, advertising, gaming, and multimedia, blending creativity with technical skills to bring ideas to life. Their tasks can include graphic design, video production, animation, and user experience design. Creator Designers typically collaborate with clients or teams to ensure the final product aligns with brand identity and project goals. Their work is essential for engaging audiences and conveying messages effectively.

How does a creator designer typically collaborate with marketing and content teams?

As a Creator Designer, close collaboration with marketing and content teams is essential. You'll often participate in brainstorming sessions to align visual content with campaign objectives, provide design expertise to ensure brand consistency, and adapt assets based on feedback. Regular meetings and digital communication tools are commonly used to coordinate project timelines and share updates. This cross-functional teamwork not only ensures cohesive messaging but also offers opportunities to learn from different perspectives and further develop your creative skills.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a creator designer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Creator Designer, you need strong visual design skills, creativity, and proficiency in design principles, often supported by a relevant degree or portfolio. Expertise in industry-standard tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with digital content platforms are typically required. Excellent communication, adaptability, and collaboration skills help you interpret client needs and work effectively within teams. These skills ensure the creation of compelling, on-brand visual content that meets client objectives and engages target audiences.

As a visual storyteller, your role is to build brand trust through great content and concepts. You will be responsible for showcasing Breef's product and offering through engaging assets, mediums and platforms. You will work closely with our marketing and design teams to support our go-to-market strategy and initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and implement a comprehensive content strategy that supports Breef's product, mission and overall brand presence
  • Oversee all brand assets and production requirements: emails, decks, social media, paid ads, etc.
  • Work extremely closely with our founder and designers on overall brand direction and presence
  • Create a robust content calendar and distribution process in collaboration with the larger marketing, growth and sales teams
  • Own all marketing trends and research for ads, emails, website, social media, creators, etc.
  • Manage and write all briefs for various content needs — working in partnership with our design team
  • Support integrated marketing needs through clear product, user and sales materials
  • Contribute to our email marketing program and bi-weekly newsletter through creative and copy
  • Manage and create posts for Breef's social media channels in collaboration with the larger marketing team
  • Write and edit copy for needed brand materials such as email campaigns, website needs, sales enablement materials, etc.
  • Contribute to website assets, visuals, and copy as needed
  • Own all creator / UGC needs: sourcing, briefs, contracts, and final edits
  • Assist with creation of partnership and webinar content, including topics, scripts, and promotional materials
  • Lead the concept, creation and briefs for our performance marketing ads — working closely with our growth team on user journey, targeting and ad performance
  • Embody the mission and vision of Breef with an understanding of how and why we do what we do
What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years of proven experience in content marketing, with a focus on strategy and execution. Experience within a tech company or B2B setting is a plus
  • Experience with social media content and management — knowledge of best practices, formatting, ad sizes, etc.
  • Understanding of video mediums — how to concept and brief a strong video for digital mediums
  • Experience developing and executing against a cohesive roadmap that aligns with the broader marketing strategy and brand narrative
  • Familiarity with Figma as the main design tool and HubSpot as our CRM
  • Extremely strong copywriting and editing skills
Who You Are

  • Find yourself constantly saving images, websites and pins for inspiration
  • Always creating moodboards or trend reports before starting a project
  • Highly organized and process-oriented. You can thrive in a constantly changing environment
  • A self-starter who is driven by an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Use data to improve your work and creative vision
  • Passionate about the marketing industry
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • Equity in a high-growth startup
  • Salary range between $75K-$100K (depending on experience)
  • Opportunity for extreme growth and ownership within the organization
  • Generous vacation and flexible remote work policy
