Social Media & Video Production Intern

Chefman

Mahwah, NJ

$15 - $19.25/hr

Internship

Posted 16 days ago

Job description

Lights, camera, air fryer? If you're obsessed with mouth-watering cooking videos, dream in slow-motion product shots, and can't stop scrolling TikTok for the latest viral format, we want YOU on our team.

Chefman and CHEF iQ are on a mission to make the kitchen the most exciting room in the house, and we need a creative, hungry (pun intended) intern to help us tell that story across every platform that matters.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Get hands-on with real productions, social content, commercials, product marketing, and short films
  • Lead and produce social-first content built for entertainment, education, and pure scroll-stopping engagement
  • Edit short-form video for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and beyond
  • Step in front of the camera (hands only, we promise) to cook up simple recipes when the moment calls for it
  • Help produce, film, and moderate our TikTok Live streams
  • Bring your ideas to the table (literally) in creative brainstorms
  • Stay plugged into trends, viral formats, and the creators shaping the platforms we live on
  • Write scroll-worthy captions and copy that make people stop and watch

What You Bring

  • You're a senior-level student (or recent grad) studying Filmmaking, Video Production, Media Studies, Communications, or something in that world
  • Real experience with video production, social, commercials, short films, digital content, you name it
  • Comfortable in Final Cut Pro (bonus points for Adobe Creative Cloud)
  • You get social media: TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X, not just as a user, but as a storyteller
  • Basic cooking skills and zero fear of the camera (again, hands only!)
  • A collaborative spirit, you thrive when bouncing ideas off a team, not just working solo
  • Can be onsite in Mahwah, NJ, 2-3 days a week

Why You'll Love This Internship

You'll be building a real portfolio with real, published work - not fetching coffee. You'll learn what it takes to create content that performs, work alongside a hands-on creative team, and get a front-row seat to how a fast-growing consumer brand builds its voice online.

If you can taste a recipe just by watching the video, and you know exactly why a video is or isn't going to perform before it even posts, let's talk.Â
