Summary Description About Us: The City of Oak Creek is dedicated to providing excellent services to our residents, visitors, and business community. Our Marketing & Public Relations team is looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and detail-oriented intern to join us in making an impact through exciting marketing and events. Your Role: As a Marketing Intern, you'll get hands-on experience in multimedia marketing within a local government setting.

You'll be involved in creating engaging content, promoting events, and assisting with event logistics. It's a great opportunity to grow your skills, collaborate with a fun team, and make a real difference in the community. Duties, Functions and Supervision/Accountability What You'll Be Doing: Create engaging content for the City's social media channels.

Shoot and edit videos for internal and external use Write magazine and newsletter articles Assist with the planning and promotion of local events. Interacting with the community at events. Collaborate with team members and volunteers to ensure successful event execution.

Proofread and edit marketing materials. Dive into various marketing and communication tasks as needed. Qualifications What We're Looking For: You're a full-time college student studying marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, media studies, or a related field.

You have a good understanding of social media and digital marketing. You're comfortable with tech tools like Microsoft Office, Sprout Social, Adobe Creative Suite and Canva (bonus points for experience with digital photography, design and photo editing!) You're detail-oriented, organized, and can juggle multiple tasks with a smile. A positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and with a team are key.
