What is a creative writing degree?

A Creative Writing degree is an academic program that focuses on developing students' abilities to write fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and other forms of creative expression. Students learn the craft of storytelling, narrative structure, character development, and writing techniques through workshops, literature courses, and peer feedback. Graduates often pursue careers in writing, editing, publishing, communications, or continue their studies in graduate programs. The degree helps build a strong foundation in both the art and the business of writing.

What career paths are available to someone with a creative writing degree?

Graduates with a Creative Writing degree can pursue a variety of career paths beyond traditional authorship, including roles in content creation, publishing, advertising, public relations, and education.
