Job description

This position reports to:
Supply Chain Manager - System Drives
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your skills by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.
The work model for the role is onsite in New Berlin, Wisconsin.
You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Support supplier coordination and cross-functional collaboration to help ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects.
  • Collect, analyze, and visualize supply chain data to generate insights and support informed business decisions.
  • Map procurement processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist with purchase order management, delivery tracking, supplier follow-ups, and invoice reconciliation to maintain operational accuracy.
  • Maintain and enhance SCM documentation, dashboards, and reporting tools to support performance monitoring and reporting.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, workshops, and brainstorming sessions, contributing ideas and solutions to business challenges.
  • Proactively seek and incorporate feedback from managers and peers to strengthen professional skills, expand knowledge, and support continuous growth.

Qualifications for the role:
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or a related field at an accredited U.S. institution.
  • Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
  • Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Exhibit the capability to manage several tasks at once while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.
