Job description

ELECTRICAL CONTROLS ENGINEER


Primary responsibilities include:

  • Develop system specifications

  • Specify hardware and develop control algorithms

  • Program drives, PLCs and HMIs

  • Troubleshoot AC/DC drive systems in the field and remotely

  • Perform system startup and commissioning

  • Develop/Revise controls drawings using Auotcad Electrical

  • Interact with customers and vendors

  • Be extremely flexible and adaptable to changing requirements

  • Some travel to customers and vendors


Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience doing electrical controls design and programming in a manufacturing related field. Working knowledge of AC/DC drives, tension control and motion control. Must have good computer, AutoCadand file management skills and working knowledge of programmable logic controllers. Must also have the skill to communicate professionally and effectively, both orally and written, with all appropriate parties. Must be highly organized, creative, thorough, detail oriented, and quality conscious.


Must be able to handle multiple tasks and produce work in an expedient and accurate manner.
