Job Title: Creative Director [D-DCD:4467]

Location: St. Louis, Missouri

Department: Creative Communications

Reports to: VP, Creative

Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt

About ADI Global Partners:

ADI Global Partners is an awardโ€‘winning, fullโ€‘service PR and communications agency delivering strategic communications, reputation management, crisis advisory, brand strategy, and creative services to clients across industries on a global scale. We craft powerful narratives, build strong brands, create engaging content, design standout digital experiences, and deliver measurable resultsโ€”helping clients confidently navigate media, reputation, and brand challenges with clarity and impact. We build a collaborative and innovative culture focused on excellence and realโ€‘world impact.

Position Overview

The Creative Director at ADI Global Partners leads the vision and execution of bold, culturally resonant creative campaigns that elevate brands, cut through noise, and drive measurable impact. Reporting directly to the VP, Creative, you will shape the agencyโ€™s creative identity, oversee highโ€‘concept storytelling across earned, owned, and paid channels, and collaborate closely with strategy, media relations, and client teams to turn complex brand challenges into unforgettable narratives. This is a leadership role for a visionary who combines strategic thinking with fearless creativityโ€”someone who can inspire teams, push creative boundaries, and consistently deliver work that not only wins awards but also moves markets and protects reputations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and championing the agencyโ€™s creative philosophy and signature style.
  • Leading ideation, concept development, and final execution for major campaigns.
  • Directing art direction, copywriting, video, design, and experiential activations.
  • Mentoring and growing a talented creative team.
  • Partnering with account and strategy leads to ensure creative aligns with business objectives and PR outcomes.
  • Staying ahead of cultural trends, emerging platforms, and innovative production techniques.
Education & Background
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field such as graphic design, visual communication, advertising, marketing, communications, journalism, fine arts, or related creative discipline.
  • Advanced degrees (MA/MFA) or specialized certifications are a plus but not requiredโ€”proven results and a standout portfolio carry more weight.
Professional Experience
  • 8โ€“12+ years of progressive creative experience in advertising, PR, branding, or integrated communications agencies (or inโ€‘house at highโ€‘profile brands).
  • Minimum 5โ€“7 years in senior creative leadership roles (e.g., Associate Creative Director, Group Creative Director, or equivalent), with direct responsibility for leading teams, campaigns, and clientโ€‘facing creative output.
  • Demonstrated track record of conceptualizing, directing, and executing awardโ€‘winning or highโ€‘visibility work across earned media, digital/social, paid channels, experiential activations, and traditional PR deliverables.
Core Creative & Technical Skills
  • Exceptional visual storytelling and conceptual thinking โ€” ability to turn complex brand challenges, crises, or reputation opportunities into bold, culturally resonant narratives.
  • Mastery of creative tools and workflows: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects), Figma, motion graphics, and emerging production techniques.
  • Strong understanding of integrated content creation across all channels (social, digital, print, video, experiential) with a PR lensโ€”ensuring creative aligns with earned media strategy, stakeholder messaging, and reputation outcomes.
Leadership & Strategic Abilities
  • Proven leadership: Experience building, mentoring, and inspiring creative teams while fostering collaboration across strategy, media relations, account, and client services.
  • Strategic mindset: Ability to think beyond aestheticsโ€”aligning creative vision with business objectives, audience insights, cultural trends, and measurable impact (e.g., brand elevation, crisis mitigation, or audience engagement).
  • Business acumen: Comfortable navigating ambiguity, stakeholder management, budgets, timelines, and client presentations; understands how creative drives ROI in PR/communications.
Soft Skills & Personal Attributes
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skillsโ€”confident pitching ideas, selling concepts to clients/executives, and providing clear, constructive feedback to teams.
  • Emotional intelligence & cultural literacyโ€”ability to read rooms, adapt to diverse personalities/stakeholders, and create inclusive, resonant work in a fastโ€‘evolving cultural landscape.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and trend awarenessโ€”stays ahead of emerging technologies (AIโ€‘assisted design, dynamic content), platforms, and creative shifts while maintaining a fearless, innovative edge.
  • A compelling, diverse portfolio showcasing strategic creative work that has delivered real results (e.g., reputation recovery campaigns, viral brand moments, award entries, or integrated PRโ€‘driven initiatives).
  • Evidence of leadership impact: Examples of team development, successful pitches, or campaigns that elevated agency/client visibility.
Why Work for Us?

At ADI Global Partners, your work mattersโ€”every day youโ€™ll help brands tell powerful stories, build lasting reputations, navigate challenging situations, and rise above the competition.

  • Teamwork. From shaping strategic ideas and writing compelling narratives to handling media relations, creating digital content, engaging audiences, and protecting reputationsโ€”we cover the full spectrum. Youโ€™ll build broad skills and never get boxed into one small role.
