Job description

Interior Designer
Location: Atlanta, GA (Smyrna/Truist Park area)
Work arrangement: Hybrid, four days in office and one day remote after onboarding
Compensation: $60-90K DOE

Position summary

A well-established architecture and interior design firm is building its interiors production team and is seeking an Interior Designer with strong design judgment, technical documentation capability, and a passion for creating spaces that support people and communities.

The ideal candidate combines thoughtful design sensibility with the ability to move work forward through documentation, material research, finish and furniture coordination, consultant communication, and project-team collaboration. The team is particularly interested in designers who want to deepen their experience in healthcare, education, community, workplace, senior living, worship, or other institutional environments.

What you will do

  • Support interior design projects from programming and concept development through construction documentation and installation.
  • Prepare interior plans, finish plans, furniture plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, details, schedules, and presentation materials.
  • Assist with material, finish, furniture, fixture, and equipment research and selection.
  • Coordinate with architecture, engineering, vendor, consultant, and client teams.
  • Contribute to drawing reviews, specifications, submittal review, site observations, and project closeout activities as applicable.
  • Maintain organized project documentation and support a high-quality client experience.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a closely related design discipline.
  • Approximately 2 to 5 years of professional interior design or interiors-focused architecture experience.
  • Current proficiency in Revit is strongly preferred. AutoCAD, Enscape, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office skills are also valuable.
  • Experience developing or supporting interior documentation, including finish plans, furniture plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, details, FF&E documentation, or specifications.
  • Strong communication, organization, material-research, and coordination skills.
  • Professional exposure to healthcare, education, workplace, community, senior living, hospitality, worship, or institutional interiors is preferred.
  • NCIDQ progress or interest is a plus.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship is required.
