Job description

The Graphic Designer is responsible for producing visual solutions that support communication objectives. This includes the use of typography, photography, illustrations, and copy to create materials such as brochures, advertisements, newsletters, trade show displays, sales presentations, videos, postcards, email marketing campaigns, and other communication tools that convey messages and drive desired behaviors or responses from targeted audiences.

This person must be comfortable working in a team environment with individuals possessing a wide range of skill sets to develop original and compelling conceptual ideas. Ideally, this individual has three or more years of graphic design experience and possesses both the attention to detail required to solve a wide range of communication challenges and a big-picture understanding of the potential of graphic design.

Maintains a solid understanding of AmTrust's mission, vision, and values. Upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization.


  • Develop creative concepts and marketing materials, driving ideas through production and approval processes.
  • Develop communication vehicles that drive desired audience engagement and response.
  • Manage relationships with printers, agencies, trade show exhibitors, and other vendors while adhering to project deadlines and budgets.
  • Ensure corporate brand standards are maintained through the consistent use of colors, logos, and layout templates.
  • Maintain graphic libraries and files, including raw assets (photos, logos, illustrations, etc.) and finished materials.
  • Develop marketing collateral, PowerPoint presentations, proposal documents, banner advertisements, email marketing campaigns, and various point-of-sale materials for retail environments.
  • Design, develop, and maintain social media assets and properties.
  • Maintain technical and industry knowledge by attending design workshops, reviewing competitive publications, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Stay current with market trends, industry developments, and customer demands.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
 

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communications, or a related field required; equivalent professional experience of 3 to 5 years may be considered.
  • Strong visual design and aesthetic skills, with a keen eye for layout, typography, and branding.
  • Highly creative and innovative thinker with strong artistic flair and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Pro, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative excellence and a breadth of design capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability and eagerness to learn new skills, technologies, and applications quickly.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and email marketing platforms, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Excellent verbal, written, communication, and presentation skills.
