Job Title: Creative Technologist - Front End Development
Location: NY-New York-140 Broadway FL 40
Duration: FTE

CLIENT X-Labs is the cross-disciplinary, creative innovation group focused on the intersection of human-centered design and outdoor media. The group, which is situated within the larger CLIENT X marketing department, comprises four key teams, each working in lockstep to explore the future of outdoor media from concept to realization.

THE ROLE:
As Creative Technologist, Front End Development you will balance your time between developing new micro-sites and maintaining the existing corporate website OUTFRONT.COM in partnership with XLabs Content and Design teams under the guidance of the Director of Creative Technology. You will also closely partner with content coordinators from OUTFRONT Interactive Services, who manage all content updates to the corporate website and the 3rd party implementation partner.
In addition to maintaining our existing web properties, you will have the opportunity to flex your creativity and develop new skills by contributing to an ongoing stream of projects that explore emerging technologies such as augmented reality, dynamic data-driven content, programmatic creativity, and data visualizations. These high-profile projects are often developed in our downtown Manhattan lab and tested across digital OOH media in major US markets including the New York’s Liveboard Network and on massive displays in Times Square. These award-winning projects are a collaborative effort across the entire XLabs team and often lead to a number of press mentions.
As a Creative Technologist, Front End Developer your primary responsibility is the development and testing of web properties and experiences, however, you should be comfortable presenting ideas and solutions and communicating effectively in reviews where your POV is desired.

  • Proficiency in version control (Bitbucket or GitHub)
  • Adobe CC, specifically Photoshop, After Effects is a plus
  • Preferred but not required backend knowledge of Node.js, Python, Ruby
  • Experience with cloud services such as AWS
