Overview
We are seeking a social media creative leader to help our client find its authentic place and purpose in the social sphere. This is a role for a person who lives and breathes social and has helped major brands transform their approach through breakthrough content across platforms. Someone who is curious and takes the time to educate themselves on the latest creative techniques and formats. Who can even break down the latest celeb beef; explain the backstory of every meme; and might even be a content creator themselves.
Your portfolio reads like an epic FYP. You've helped clients become famous in the feed. You can chat it up with CMOs like it's NBD.
As Vice President Director, Social Creative, you will help scale and lead a dynamic team of content creators and social-first talent. We're seeking a leader skilled at turning insights into meaningful ideas, deeply attuned to niche subcommunities, quick to recognize cultural trends, and immersed in the conversations(comment sections) shaping emerging social platforms.
In short, we're looking for an out-of-the-box creative leader prized to break the internet and trades.
Responsibilities
  • Develop social-first creative work that earns attention, drives conversation, and delivers measurable business impact
  • Partner with a robust social strategy and intelligence team to turn cultural signals, audience data, and trend velocity into breakthrough creative
  • Lead culturally literate storytelling rooted in subcommunities, comment sections, and creator culture
  • Push brands to show up with purpose, not just presence
  • Stay ahead of algorithm shifts, platform updates, and emerging creator behaviors
  • Challenge traditional campaign models-thinking in moments, series, drops, and community-driven formats
  • Manage, mentor, and help grow a small team of creators and social-first creatives
  • Lead teams' conceptual and strategic thinking across multiple platforms
  • Build relationships with agency capabilities including strategy, media, data and analytics and tech
  • Appreciate and advocate for craft across capabilities, including production and tech
  • Build trust with clients, understanding their business to find opportunities

Qualifications
  • Four-year degree and 5-7 years of experience as a creative director, with specific expertise in social media creative
  • You have managed and scaled teams of creatives with hybrid expertise from art directors, copywriters, editors to makers and creators.
  • Experience in the automotive industry with work samples to show for it.
  • You have a clear POV on what makes for standout creative in the social feed that you could confidently share with Fortune 500 CMOs
  • You're excited and inspired by the world of social media - the first to share among colleagues and friends the latest trends, effects, tracks, etc. on TikTok
  • You're obsessed with internet culture, the latest memes and trends, online subcultures and communities
  • You're a storyteller who can create captivating insights that range from educational to aspirational and everything in between
  • Have a skillset for and are interested in content creation on social. You have a hands-on, get it done, make cool sh*t mentality
  • You have vast experience working with creators and influencers

Compensation Range: USD $129,485.00 - USD $177,200.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
