Job Description

We are FIS. Our technology powers the world's economy and our teams bring innovation to life. We champion diversity to deliver the best products and solutions for our colleagues, clients and communities. If you're ready to start learning, growing and making an impact with a career in fintech, we'd like to know: Are you FIS?

About the role

A high-impact PR leader, responsible for building a bold, proactive brand presence across media, social channels, the industry speaking circuit, and thought leadership platforms. This is a rare opportunity to redefine how an enterprise brand shows-up in the market, with the ambition of a start-up, the credibility of a global fintech leader, and the resources to do it at scale.

You will lead corporate public relations in North America, with accountability for reputation, narrative, and earned media impact. This role shapes how FIS shows up across platforms and executive visibility, translating complex business and technology priorities into compelling stories. The person who thrives here sees a breaking story and leans in. They take personal ownership of FIS's reputation, moving with urgency, exercising sound judgment and knowing when to escalate. Success is measured not by activities but by impact: proactive coverage, message penetration, crisis readiness, and trusted media relationships.

What you will be doing

Define and execute a proactive corporate PR strategy aligned to business priorities and transformation initiatives
Build and steward a distinctive brand voice that positions FIS as a leading fintech authority
Develop rapid response capabilities to capitalise on breaking news and manage issues in real time
Lead crisis communications, scenario planning, and escalation protocols with cross functional partners
Cultivate deep relationships with top tier financial, business, and technology media
Drive executive visibility through thought leadership, speaking opportunities, and media engagement
Integrate earned media with social and digital channels to amplify reach and impact
Conceive and deliver creative PR campaigns and activations that generate sustained attention
Partner closely with marketing, legal, investor relations, and business leaders on aligned messaging
Lead, develop, and inspire a high performing PR team and agency partners
Leverage AI-enabled tools and platforms to scale monitoring, content development, and measurement.

Required Qualifications

Demonstrated leadership in corporate or global public relations within complex organisations
Proven expertise in media relations, reputation management, and crisis communications
Strong storytelling and narrative development across business, technology, and financial topics
Established relationships with senior reporters and editors in financial and technology media
Experience building proactive, data informed PR programmes from strategy through execution
Executive presence with the ability to advise and coach senior leaders
Experience leading teams and managing external agencies
Experience managing communications through M&A activity, corporate divestitures or major business transformation
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in communications or related field

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in financial services, fintech, payments, banking, or other regulated industries
Background in agency leadership or senior in house roles at publicly traded companies
Experience supporting corporate initiatives such as divestitures, acquisitions, or transformations
Strong understanding of social media, digital PR, and influencer strategies
Experience building global PR models leveraging regional and global teams
Familiarity with AI-powered PR tools and platforms, including media monitoring, content development, and reputation analytics
Master's degree

What we offer you

A multifaceted job with a high degree of responsibility and a broad spectrum of opportunities
A modern, global work environment and a dedicated and motivated team
A variety of career development tools, resources and opportunities
A fantastic range of benefits designed to help support your lifestyle and wellbeing
A work environment built on collaboration, flexibility and respect
