Creative Directors in luxury brands are responsible for shaping and guiding the overall visual identity and creative vision of a brand. They oversee the design process, from conceptualization to execution, ensuring that campaigns, products, and communications reflect the brand's values and maintain its prestige. Their role involves collaborating with designers, marketing teams, and executives to create cohesive and innovative collections or campaigns that resonate with high-end clientele. Ultimately, they play a pivotal role in maintaining and elevating the brand's status in the competitive luxury market.

Job description

About Bob’s Watches

Bob’s Watches is the world’s leading global marketplace for luxury timepieces. We have revolutionized the industry through transparency, trust, and an unmatched selection of iconic brands. Our customers are sophisticated, discerning, and value craftsmanship, heritage, and investment-worthy assets.

We were recently voted one of America’s Best Retailers in USA Today's Top 500 list. As a fast-moving team of 60 people, we move quickly, think entrepreneurially, and love what we do. Now, we are looking for our very first Creative Director to help write our next chapter.

The Opportunity: Be Our First Creative Director

We have the market authority, the inventory, and the growth now we need the visionary storyteller to tie it all together. As our first-ever Creative Director, you won't just inherit a rigid corporate brand book; you will have the autonomy to shape, elevate, and evolve the visual and verbal identity of Bob's Watches.

This is a true "Player-Coach" role. You will partner closely with our VP of Brand to lead our creative ecosystem guiding internal talent and external partners while remaining excited to roll up your sleeves and design, concept, and execute work directly. You are the perfect fit if you know how to balance a flawless, high-end luxury aesthetic with sharp, performance-driven digital marketing.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the Visual Identity: Evolve the Bob’s Watches brand image, ensuring a cohesive, ultra-premium look across our eCommerce site, print, packaging, and digital channels.
  • Lead 360° Campaigns: Concept and execute campaigns that celebrate horology culture, luxury product drops, seasonal milestones, and investor narratives.
  • Drive Performance Creative: Build high-converting, aspirational creative assets for paid media (Meta, Google), email marketing (CRM), organic social, and video channels.
  • Direct Content & Storytelling: Oversee our multi-channel content framework (including YouTube, editorial, and SEO-driven content) to translate intricate watch mechanics into culturally relevant stories.
  • Manage the Creative Ecosystem: Lead, mentor, and collaborate with a lean, high-performing squad of internal creatives (Art Direction, Copy, Design, Video) and specialized external freelancers.
  • Optimize via Data: Partner with our Analytics and Growth teams to review asset performance, using real-world data to continuously improve our creative strategy.
Who You Are
  • An Experienced Storyteller: You have 10+ years of creative leadership experience within luxury, fashion, lifestyle, or high-end consumer brands. (A passion for luxury watches or jewelry is a massive bonus!)
  • A Master of the Blend: You possess a stunning portfolio that proves you can build breathtaking luxury visuals that also drive clicks, conversions, and revenue.
  • A Proud Maker: You are comfortable jumping into Figma, Photoshop, or a mood board yourself. You love the craft of creation just as much as you love strategic planning.
  • An Agile Leader: You thrive in a nimble, 60-person environment. You prefer fast execution and open communication over corporate red tape.
  • A Collaborator: You know how to work seamlessly across Growth, DTC, and Merchandising teams to support revenue-driving business initiatives.
What Success Looks Like
  • Day 90: You have audited our entire asset ecosystem, streamlined our creative workflow, and established a distinct, elevated visual standard for all upcoming seasonal campaigns.
  • Year 1: Bob’s Watches has a noticeably unified, premium aesthetic that deepens customer trust, establishes us as the global authority on watch culture, and measurably lowers customer acquisition costs through high-performing creative.
What We Offer
  • Performance-based bonus tied directly to company growth and revenue
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Generous PTO and paid company holidays
  • A vibrant, energetic office culture in beautiful Newport Beach, CA
Ready to Shape the Future of Luxury?

All persons shall have the opportunity to be considered for employment without regard to their race, color, creed, religion, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, disability, sex, gender, veteran status, genetic information or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local laws.
