Assistant Site Supervisor - Preschool Adventure Club
Westonka Community Education and Services
Position Start Date: Immediately
Supervisor: Site Supervisor & Child Care Coordinator
Schedule: Monday - Friday. Straight shift. 8 hours/day (set hours daily to be determined by the Child Care Coordinator)
Rate of Pay: $17.26- $29.93 based on education and experience; also eligible for single coverage of medical, dental and vision, Life/LTD insurance, sick leave, personal leave, vacation and holiday pay
Job Summary: Assist in planning, developing, and promoting a high quality Preschool child care program.
Qualifications: Demonstrate the ability to perform the primary functions of this position. Must possess strong verbal communication skills and have the ability to work with and lead a diverse group of people. Prior child care experience required. A degree or courses in Child Development or Education strongly preferred.
Duties: Collaborate with the Site Supervisor to plan daily activities using the Creative Curriculum for the Preschool Adventure Club program. Ability to complete Pyramid Model trainings and collaborate with the Site Supervisor for successful implementation of Pyramid Model in the classroom. Provide direct supervision to the children enrolled in the program. Provide customer service and establish relationships with parents and children in the program. Work with parents and district staff to plan for and provide reasonable accommodations to ensure student success in the program. Attend leadership and preschool team meetings as scheduled by the Child Care Coordinator. Ability to address and resolve student discipline issues and relay information to the Site Supervisor when follow up is necessary. Direct staff in the Preschool Adventure Club program. This involves assigning staff to daily tasks, mentoring them, etc. Other responsibilities as assigned by Site Supervisor or Child Care Coordinator. Responsibilities during the summer program TBD. When needed, our Assistant Site Supervisors may work with our K - 4 or Middle School program during the summer months.
