Overview

As Marketing Intern, you will develop content and suggest creative ways to attract new guests and promote Newport Harbor Island Resort.Β 

This is a part-time position, with an expected schedule of approximately 10-15 hours per week.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Build email marketing templates for newsletters, package promotions, and automated campaigns
  • Create and post two blog posts per month utilizin Finish g strategic keywords; plan blog posts into the future and prepare details in advance as needed
  • Collaborate with property teams on seasonal activations and complete creative requests for special offers, menus, and miscellaneous digital and print collateral, managing deadlines effectively
  • Capture photo and video content of events and activations around the resort and community to highlight the hotel and share on social channels
  • Develop monthly content calendar for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Identify local events and partnerships to enhance hotel's presence and brand awareness
  • Monitor and research marketing trends, strategies, and new technology in social media marketing
  • Maintain brand guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned by Director
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prefer 1 year of experience in marketing, photography, video production, and/or social media management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as outstanding copywriting and proofreading skills
  • Must have strong organizational and project management skills
  • Firm understanding of various marketing platforms, channels, and best practices (Canva, Adobe, and Sprout Social a plus)
  • Graphic design, photo, and video editing knowledge required
  • Must have an elevated level of creativity, organization, and self-motivation
Salary RangeUSD $16.00 - USD $16.00 /Hr.Employment Type: TEMPORARY
