Position Overview

The Marketing Research & Creative Content Intern will support Millwood’s marketing and business development initiatives through market research, data analysis, creative marketing projects, and digital communications. This position is ideal for a student interested in combining analytical thinking with creative marketing execution in a professional business environment.
 
 This role is structured with an estimated focus of approximately 70% marketing research, analytics, CRM/data organization, and reporting and 30% creative marketing projects, social media coordination, content creation, and administrative support.
 The intern will assist with identifying market trends, analyzing customer and sales data, supporting targeted marketing campaigns, creating marketing materials in Canva, maintaining social media activity, and organizing marketing communications that support Millwood’s strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities using Google research, ZoomInfo, internal software, website leads, and industry databases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Present findings through clear visualizations, summaries, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
  • Design marketing flyers, promotional materials, and branded graphics using Canva.
  • Create and post updates across Millwood’s platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn and IndustryNet.
  • Help streamline and organize marketing communications, social media activity, and digital marketing efforts.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data related to sales performance, customer behavior, and marketing campaign results.
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties to support the marketing department and related projects.
Qualifications
  • College student pursuing degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret and communicate data insights.
  • Experience with Canva, Microsoft Office (Word; Excel; Outlook) and social media platforms preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Candidates may be asked to bring examples of prior presentations and work (from school or prior internships), showcasing the qualifications above
