Job description

Company Description The Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce (GSCC) is a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization with a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation, dedicated to supporting the Shreveport-Bossier business community since 1910. Its mission is to promote economic prosperity, advocate for businesses, and recognize the achievements that strengthen the region. With over 1,000 member organizations, the Chamber serves as a central hub for networking, resources, and business development. The Chamber holds a prestigious 5-Star Accreditation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a distinction awarded to fewer than 2% of chambers nationwide, demonstrating its commitment to excellence and impact.

Role Description The Creative Services Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Shreveport, LA. The role is the Chamber’s in-house designer and multimedia producer, responsible for all visual content creation, graphic design, video production, photography, and print production. Working under the direction of the Director of Marketing and Communications, this role translates marketing strategies into polished, brand-consistent visual deliverables across all channels—from digital assets to large-format event signage. The coordinator will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to manage creative projects, maintain content calendars, and support event promotions.

II. RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Graphic Design and Brand Identity

  • Design marketing materials including brochures, flyers, invitations, programs, member guides, and annual publications.
  • Create digital assets for social media posts, email headers, website graphics, digital advertisements, and online campaigns.
  • Design event collateral including signage, banners, stage graphics, name badges, table tents, and promotional displays.
  • Develop and maintain large-format advertising materials such as street banners, publicity tents, and billboard artwork.
  • Maintain and enforce the Chamber’s brand style guide, including logo usage, color palette, typography, and visual standards.
  • Design logos and visual identity elements for Chamber programs, events, and initiatives.

B. Video Production and Editing

  • Film, edit, and produce video content for events, member spotlights, promotional campaigns, social media, and the Chamber’s website.
  • Edit interview footage, event highlight reels, and presentation videos for major Chamber events.
  • Create motion graphics, lower thirds, intro/outro sequences, and animated content for digital platforms.
  • Coordinate video and presentation elements for live events, including screen content and playback.

C. Photography

  • Serve as the primary photographer for Chamber events, ribbon cuttings, member milestones, and promotional shoots.
  • Maintain an organized, searchable photo and video archive.
  • Perform post-production editing (color correction, cropping, retouching) and distribute images for web, social media, and print.

D. Print Production and Vendor Management

  • Prepare print-ready files and coordinate the production process with external print vendors, ensuring quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery.

E. Website and Digital Production

  • Execute website updates including uploading content, images, event listings, and member information as directed by the Director of Marketing.
  • Build and format email newsletters and campaigns within the email marketing platform based on the Director’s content and strategy.
  • Create and schedule social media graphics and short-form video content based on the editorial calendar and content pillars provided by the Director.

F. Presentations and Proposals

  • Design PowerPoint/Keynote presentations for Chamber leadership, board meetings, sponsorship proposals, and public speaking engagements.
  • Create visual proposals, pitch decks, and partnership materials.
  • Design event programs, awards certificates, and ceremonial materials.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Multimedia Production, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in graphic design, multimedia production, or a related creative role.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro (After Effects a plus).
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating range across print, digital, and video.
  • Photography and videography skills, including lighting, composition, and post-production.
  • Experience preparing print-ready files and managing print vendor relationships.
  • Working knowledge of WordPress, Divi Themes or similar CMS for content updates.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs (event setup/teardown).
  • Ability to work occasional evening and weekend events.

IV. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in a chamber of commerce, nonprofit, or membership-based organization.
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar).
  • Experience with motion graphics and animation.
  • Experience with large-format printing and environmental/experiential design.
  • Knowledge of Canva, Figma, or other collaborative design tools.
