Pay Range: $20.57 to 30.86 (based on experience)
Offers for external candidates are generally made between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on experience.

Qualifications:
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification required
  • A minimum of two (2) years of surgical experience and one (1) year leadership experience
  • Experience and knowledge in surgical instrument handling and processing
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Sterilization certification through IAHCSMM OR CBSPD required

Other Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of supply chain in surgical setting preferred
  • Previous core supervisor experience preferred

Job Responsibilities:
  • Ensures that all core technicians are properly trained on basic aspects of sterile processing and the preparation of case carts.
  • Assesses departmental processes and develops plans to improve processes as needed.
  • Assists with the operation of the surgical core, instrument rooms, and operating room as well the prosthesis and supply areas.
  • Coordinates and performs daily activities that support the surgical practice.
  • Practices good inventory control techniques.
  • Covers for the Prosthesis Coordinator in their absence.
  • Provides supervision of staff and vendors to the core, and/or the supply and prosthesis areas, maintains inventory, instrumentation, implant management and maintenance, and updates the surgical inventory management system.
  • Other duties as assigned.
