Job description

Position: Construction Project Manager – Mission-Critical Facilities

Overview
We are seeking a seasoned construction leader to direct the delivery of a large-scale, mission-critical facility for a major technology client. This role is responsible for guiding the project from early planning through final commissioning, ensuring all aspects are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The manager will serve as the primary bridge between client leadership and project teams, overseeing design, engineering, and construction partners to align performance with client objectives.

Core Responsibilities

Project Oversight

  • Lead project delivery from design development through construction completion and turnover.

  • Establish and maintain project execution strategies, budgets, and schedules.

  • Serve as the main point of coordination between client stakeholders, project partners, and internal leadership.

Design & Construction Integration

  • Manage and evaluate design-build or integrated delivery teams, ensuring designs are constructible, cost-conscious, and compliant.

  • Support coordination of site development, infrastructure layouts, and critical building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural).

  • Review technical submissions to ensure alignment with standards, codes, and commissioning requirements.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Provide clear, timely updates to ownership representatives and executive-level stakeholders.

  • Translate technical progress into strategic-level reporting, including schedule, budget, and risk assessments.

  • Facilitate resolution of scope adjustments, design modifications, and change management.

Infrastructure & Systems Leadership

  • Oversee installation and integration of MEP systems and critical facility infrastructure.

  • Ensure all systems are coordinated across disciplines and prepared for commissioning and startup activities.

Controls & Risk Management

  • Monitor project performance metrics including schedule, budget, cost projections, and resource allocation.

  • Identify challenges early, recommend solutions, and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Lead routine site reviews, coordination meetings, and performance check-ins with project partners.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of construction management experience, ideally with large, complex, or mission-critical facilities.

  • Demonstrated success delivering projects through design-build or other collaborative delivery methods.

  • Experience working directly with owners or representing client interests on major projects is highly valued.

  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, site/civil development, structural coordination, and high-reliability infrastructure.

  • Proficiency with scheduling (P6, MS Project), cost tracking, and construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, BIM 360).

  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and present effectively to diverse audiences.

Preferred Attributes

  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.

  • Prior exposure to hyperscale or large data center projects is a strong advantage.

  • Certifications such as PMP, LEED, or OSHA 30 are preferred.

  • Familiarity with lean delivery methods is beneficial.

Why Join

  • Contribute to landmark infrastructure projects supporting global technology.

  • Partner with industry-leading teams across design, engineering, and construction.

  • Gain exposure to high-profile clients and cutting-edge delivery approaches.

  • Be part of a culture that emphasizes collaboration, performance, and innovation.
