Job description

Job Title: PRODUCTION PLANNER
Reports to: PRODUCTION CONTROL MANAGER (PCM)
Job Requirement: MUST be proficient in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English Languages.
Job Summary: This role will be assisting the PCM in making the organization run smoothly by scheduling and coordinating the flow of material/production/communication among various levels of the organization.

Job Responsibilities:
· Translating necessary conversations from Chinese to English or other way around at the production site between various departments and parties involved.
· Translating company letters/emails and documents.
· Tracking information, organizing important meetings, and taking meeting minutes for all departments and parties involved.
· Supervise, coordinate, and implement work assigned by the PCM.
· Place orders, ensure on time delivery, review all delivered orders and make sure they meet expectation.
· Prepare production plans and orders, organize their implementation, and follow up on progress till completion.
· Work with factory production plan to ensure and track necessary materials are ordered and delivered in time for projected production, coordinate the work progress in connection with various departments, and track the production capacity of each department.
· Inspect product quality/quantity, write various data statistical analysis reports, and report within the specified time limit.
· Responsible for material control management, preparation and supervising of material requirements plans and implementation.
· Compilation of statistics and statistical charts of various data (production progress, capacity analysis, data cost control, shipment plan, production plan, material progress, shipment, etc.)
· Discuss schedules with supervisors, production managers, and teammates to ensure schedules will be met with most efficient and cost effective manner
· Define and resolve potential part deficiencies that could prevent execution of the production schedule and sales plan
· Monitor inventory and lead corrective actions to ensure inventory plan is met
· Collaborate cross-functionally to implement process improvements
Essential Skills/Education:
· High School diploma or GED equivalent required
· Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
· APICS Certification preferred
· 3 to 5 years’ experience in production control
· Excellent computer skills, ability to work in many systems. (SQL, Excel, Access, MRP, ERP)
· Good communication skills with ability to communicate at all management levels
· Demonstrated ability to think conceptually with a real commitment to change and continuous improvement
Qualifications And Experience:
· Ability to use various tools including (tape measure, wrenches, screw drivers etc.), read blueprints and tape measure
· Ability to read, write and use basic math skills
· Strong computer skills
· Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to follow precise instructions
· Ability to communicate effectively with peers, managers and across departments
Work Environment:
We are a Battery manufacturing company. While performing the duties of this job, the employee works with and near large machinery and equipment daily, the employee will be exposed to a variety of Health and Safety hazard and will be required to ALWAYS adhere to all Health and Safety rules and wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
Physical Demands:
The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or craw and frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands or arms. The employee must be able to stand for up to twelve hours per day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
