Job description

SUMMARY

Oversees and assumes charge of an assigned ride(s)/attraction(s). Assists guests in getting safely on and off attraction(s). Operate (s)/attraction(s) safely and efficiently. Provide a safe, friendly, and fun experience for our guests. Help with opening and closing duties, ticket checking, and crowd control responsibilities as needed. As a customer-focused organization, a crucial part of each employee’s job is to get and keep guests. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensure all mechanical components are functioning properly by carrying out daily department procedures and checklists.
  • Carry out ride/attraction start-up procedures by completing opening checklists.
  • Ensure guests board the ride/attraction safely by assisting with loading and explaining procedures to inexperienced guests.
  • Aid guests getting off the ride/attraction by watching guests exit the ride/attraction and providing assistance to those who need it.
  • Monitor the operation of the ride/attraction continually, and correct problems by notifying the supervisor or lift maintenance of problems or unsafe conditions.
  • Pick up dropped clothing or other belongings for guests and return them to the owner or take items to lost and found.
  • Carry out ride/attraction closure procedures by completing closing checklists.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures including immediately reporting and documenting incidents, following operation guidelines and company policies while operating ride/attraction.
  • Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) by following Resort Guidelines while interacting with guests.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Respond to all guests and employees in a courteous, efficient manner.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
  • Flexible working hours. Some job sharing may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY

  • Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and Cranmore Mountain Resort guests and assets at all times.
  • Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.
  • Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to the immediate supervisor.
  • Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures.
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury to yourself or others.
  • Drive by the law and Cranmore Mountain Resort policies.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

SCHEDULING

The Mountain Adventure Park Operator can be a full or part-time seasonal position hours vary based on season and business volumes. Weekends, holidays, and vacation weeks are included.
