Job description

We are looking for a Main Military Assembler to join our Iron River, MI Team!
The Maine Military Assembler will perform diversified assembly and erection operations to assemble intricate or large and expensive apparatus, machines or equipment to close tolerances and strict inspection requirements. Work requires skill and assembling techniques, plus experience and a knowledge of design and basic mechanical principles. This position will demonstrate the ability to meet routed hours with acceptable quality and safety.
MAJOR DUTIES
  • Advanced Crane Operations and Rigging
  • Shipping process and preparation
  • Perform Quality Checks though out process
  • Advanced Hydraulic applications and procedures
  • Understand and assembly of shaft coupling and alignments
  • Advanced set up and procedures for final assembly
  • Complete final assembly and testing
  • Perform floor test procedures
  • Advanced Hydraulic applications and procedures
  • Advanced Assembly processes and techniques
  • Pipe Bending
  • Silver Braising
  • Follow complicated assembly drawings, specifications, and procedures to perform skilled fitting of parts, sub-assemblies, and related units
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Electrical Assembly experience strongly preferred
  • Blueprint Reading, Math, and Measuring Device experience
  • Experience with Crane Operations and Rigging heavy items on the floor
  • Knowledge of basic hydraulic functions and how they operate
  • Perform work on elevated equipment & surfaces

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs.
  • Long periods of standing, bending, and crouching
