If you're passionate about customer service, eager to learn, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this is an exciting opportunity to grow within a supportive team. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to break into the construction industry, as it offers hands on experience in showroom operations, hosting events and sales support while gaining valuable industry knowledge and connections.
Schedule and Availability:

  • Some after-hours events and Saturdays as required by management

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer Experience & Front Desk Support
  • Welcome and assist walk-in clients and showroom visitors, providing product information, demonstrations, and guidance through showroom displays using catalogs and samples.
  • Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, pre-qualify customers using established questions, and schedule appointments with sales professionals.
  • Clearly communicate the Pella Sales Process and set expectations for follow-up and next steps.
  • Maintain a "client-ready" showroom environment-clean, organized, stocked, and visually aligned with brand standards.

Sales & Administrative Support
  • Assist sales consultants with administrative tasks such as preparing service tickets, tracking orders, and following up with customers.
  • Accurately input and maintain customer data and appointments in CRM (Salesforce) and other internal systems.
  • Monitor showroom inventory including literature, product samples, and office supplies; place restocking orders as needed.
  • Provide service support by directing customers to the appropriate service department team.

Event Coordination
  • Support the Experience Center Manager in planning, organizing, and executing showroom events, including professional networking events, trainings, and customer experiences.
  • Handle event logistics, including space setup, vendor coordination, and guest management.

Process Improvement & Other Responsibilities
  • Promote and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Take initiative to identify and resolve inefficiencies in day-to-day showroom operations.
  • Complete additional tasks or projects as assigned by management.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in an environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Trustworthy and dependable, with a polished and professional demeanor.
  • Comfortable relating to a variety of customer personalities while maintaining poise and professionalism.
  • High sense of urgency and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; demonstrates confidence with humility.
  • Able to work independently while maintaining regular communication with management.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and capable of learning internal systems and smart device applications.
  • Positive, proactive, and self-motivated.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of customer service or general business experience preferred.
  • Retail, showroom, or administrative experience is a plus.
  • General construction terminology and applications preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn internal software/smart device applications.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible and willing to work occasional after-hours events.

What We Offer
  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement within a trusted brand.
  • A dynamic, collaborative work environment that values innovation and teamwork.
  • The chance to contribute to the success of Pella Windows & Doors' field marketing and installation efforts.

Pella Windows & Doors of DFW/WTX is an equal-opportunity employer.
Pay Range: $22 - $25 per hour
