Job description

Head of Quality Assurance & Quality Control — 5 days/week onsite in Santa Ana - $100K - $135K salary

We're partnered with a consumer products manufacturer that is looking for a Head of Quality Assurance/Quality Control to join their team. They're looking for someone who can own their quality department from the ground up, formalizing their QMS, installing inspection protocols on the production floor, and building the accountability structures their QC team needs to operate off documented systems.

Title: Head of Quality Assurance & Quality Control

Location: 5 days/week onsite in Santa Ana, CA

Compensation: $100k-$135k in base salary + benefits

Must-Haves:

  • Hands-on QMS build or rebuild experience in a manufacturing environment
  • GMP experience — applied on the floor, not just theoretical
  • 5+ years managing or supervising QC teams (direct or indirect)
  • Production floor inspection experience — enforcing customer and internal spec compliance
  • Data fluency — KPIs, defect tracking, scrap/yield metrics, presenting to leadership
  • Experience handling customer quality disputes and documenting corrective actions
  • Onsite availability in Santa Ana

Plusses:

  • ISO 9001 or SQF certification/experience
  • QMS software (TraceGains, MasterControl, or similar)
  • CQM or CQA credentials
  • PCQI designation or FSMA familiarity
  • California manufacturing compliance exposure (CDFA/CDPH)
  • Spanish language skills
