What jobs in the US pay 300,000 a year?

For a CPQ Developer, earning $300,000 annually typically requires extensive experience, advanced skills in Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) software, and often senior or lead roles in large organizations. High salaries are common in industries like technology, finance, or enterprise software, especially for those with specialized certifications and a strong track record of project success.

Is Salesforce discontinuing CPQ?

Salesforce CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) remains a key product within Salesforce's suite of cloud services and is actively supported. There are no public announcements indicating that Salesforce plans to discontinue CPQ, and it continues to be widely used by organizations for sales automation. As a CPQ developer, staying updated on Salesforce product roadmaps and certifications is important for career growth.

What is the difference between Cpq Developer vs Cpq Analyst?

AspectCpq DeveloperCpq Analyst
Primary RoleDesigns, develops, and implements Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) solutionsAnalyzes and optimizes CPQ processes, supports users, and ensures data accuracy
Required SkillsProgramming, scripting, technical customization, Salesforce or SAP CPQ knowledgeData analysis, process improvement, user support, reporting skills
Work EnvironmentTechnical teams, development projects, coding tasksBusiness teams, process analysis, user training

While both roles work within the CPQ ecosystem, a Cpq Developer focuses on technical development and customization of CPQ solutions, whereas a Cpq Analyst concentrates on analyzing, supporting, and optimizing CPQ processes. The developer role is more technical, requiring coding skills, while the analyst role emphasizes business analysis and user support.

What skills are needed for CPQ?

CPQ developers need strong skills in configuring and customizing Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) software, such as Salesforce CPQ or Oracle CPQ. They should have proficiency in programming languages like Java, JavaScript, or Apex, as well as a good understanding of sales processes, data modeling, and integration with CRM and ERP systems. Knowledge of SQL, workflow automation, and certification in relevant CPQ platforms can enhance job prospects.

Will AI replace Salesforce developer jobs?

AI is unlikely to fully replace Salesforce developers, as their role involves complex customization, integration, and understanding client needs that require human expertise. Instead, AI tools can assist developers by automating routine tasks and enhancing productivity. Salesforce developers who adapt by learning new technologies and AI integration will remain valuable in the evolving job market.
