General Position Summary:

Following Security Department procedures and policies, works to provide a safe and comfortable environment for guests and employees. Observes and reports all activities, incidents, or safety hazards that may occur during shift. Responds to emergency situations as directed or according to policy.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

  • Safe guards company assets
  • Ensures the safety of the facility for the protection of employees and guests
  • Ensures the safety of the facility for the protection of employees and guests by preventing illegal behavior
  • Transports casino funds in accordance with established standards
  • Observes and reports unusual events which occur on the premises
  • Provides assistance in the ejection of guests as directed by TGC
  • Transports revenues from all gaming areas to and from the Cashiers Cage
  • Systematically checks effectiveness of locks and security devices
  • Restricts access to sensitive areas from unauthorized persons

Secondary Functions:

  • Creates a safe and comfortable environment for guests
  • Provides first aid, as required, to patrons and employees
  • Performs other duties as needed

Specific Job Skills:

  • Good math and writing skills
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • CPO certified or enrolled in a course within one year of accepting position
  • Possess Washington State Liquor Board Class 12 Mixologist permit, within 60 days of hire
  • Knowledge of basic computer programs and software
  • Able to type 20 wpm

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

Job Conditions:

Working conditions include working in an office setting with a computer and other equipment. Other conditions include working on casino floor during busy times of the day, smoky environment, loud noise and crowded conditions. Some guest’s contacts may be come stressful and at times physical. Conditions will also include frequent interruptions, evenings, weekends and holidays and require being on-call.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 75 lbs. while standing, twisting, or bending. Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time.
