Job description

Summary/Objective
The Maintenance Manager will oversee Cowabunga Vegas maintenance operations and training necessary to achieve objectives for ride maintenance, ride checks, repairs, costs, guest service satisfaction, safety, cleanliness, and sanitation.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Hires and trains seasonal and full-time maintenance department staff.
  • Hires and trains seasonal and full-time AM Washdown staff.
  • Handles, Coordinates, and Leads capex projects with vendors.
  • Ensures safety and compliance laws and upholds SNHD/Clark County requirements.
  • Creates department budget with assistance from the General Manager
  • Maintains an asset inventory list and ensures a preventive maintenance program to prevent assets from failing.

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner on Mobaro.
  • Prepares SNHD required paperwork, minor remodel, and permits in a timely manner.
  • Ensures team follows manufacturer ride requirements and inspections.
  • Ensures team follows SNHD pool requirements any time the park is open to the public.
  • Help create and follow the budget and monitor expenses. Is responsible for all spending in the Park Services and facilities department including utilities.
  • Understand all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs of Cowabunga Vegas.
  • Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service always.
  • Ensure that all water park rides are inspected daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Oversees and maintains services of all related pumps, motors, valves, vessels, filters, chemical feed equipment and other miscellaneous mechanical and electrical equipment. Assigns and supervises other team members.
  • Ensure the water park is maintained so that guests are not inconvenienced because of repairs.
  • Ensure the grounds and tables are stain free, trash free and trash cans are emptied in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates AM Washdown to make sure the park is pressure washed and the bathrooms are clean before each operating day.
  • Communicates with Group Sales to make sure event areas are cleaned when necessary.
  • Perform required tests and chemical analysis on water.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
  • Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed.
  • Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems.
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
