Job description

Position Overview: The Ahwatukee Recreation Center (ARC), a community of active adults aged 55 years old and older, is seeking a dedicated and versatile Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities, as well as trouble shooting and performing minor electrical, plumbing, and facility repairs.

Responsibilities:

· General Maintenance: Maintain all ARC areas including the Main Building, Health and Fitness Building, Arts and Crafts Building, outdoor pool area, Pickleball Courts, and ARC grounds.

· Event Setup: Set up and clean up of designated locations for ARC

· Additional Duties: Perform other indoor and outdoor tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Schedule:

· Work Hours: 40 hours per week Monday-Friday 10am-6pm

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

· Proficient in English with strong communication skills.

· Electrical and plumbing experience preferred

· Operate power tools or equipment used for cleaning and maintenance tasks.

· Ability to perform basic repairs and operate power tools or equipment used for cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Job Requirements:

· Ability to stand for prolonged periods.

· Capability to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift to 50 pounds.

· Adequate strength and stamina for physical tasks.

· Professional, polite, and courteous interactions with staff, members, and guests.
